Alvin Williams is the co-founder and current President/CEO of Black America’s Political Action Committee (BAMPAC), a non-partisan PAC focused on mobilizing support for African American and common-sense candidates. Over the past 13 years, BAMPAC has grown to become one of the largest minority PACs in the U.S., raising over $1.6 million in contributions from 137,000 donors. BAMPAC advocates its core issues through media campaigns, providing analysis, and promoting democracy globally.

Williams has over 15 years of public policy experience, emphasizing that the African American political viewpoint is diverse. BAMPAC-supported candidates receive strategic, financial, and tactical resources for successful campaigns. Recognized as a “Rising Star” by Campaigns & Elections and one of Ebony’s “50 Leaders of the Future,” Williams has been featured in major media outlets and participated in political shows like ABC’s Nightline and CBS’s Nightly News.
Williams holds degrees from George Washington University and South Carolina State University. He began his career working on the Bush campaign in 1987 and later served at the Republican National Committee. He has advised candidates for various offices and participated in global forums on democracy and free trade.
Williams is actively involved in mentoring, serving on the boards of Mentors, Inc., the National Chamber Foundation, and the Black Alliance for Educational Options. He is married with two daughters and resides in Clarksburg, Maryland.
